Gavin Reid you are 7 months old!

What have you been up to?

I am guessing you weight around 18 lbs, maybe a little more. You are wearing 6-9 month clothing and size 3 diapers.

I promise this isn't where you normally sleep :)
You are sleeping from about 7:45-5:00ish uninterrupted, then you wake up to eat and then go back to bed until 8 or 9! You don't usually need your paci to fall asleep anymore. You prefer to lay in bed and talk yourself to sleep! It is too funny!

You WANT to crawl so bad and it frustrates you that you can't, but all we are getting right now are really good push ups and backward scooting. Does this lack of mobility keep you stationary? No way! You have no problem getting around, just maybe not as fast as you would like! :)

Food you like: bananas, squash and oatmeal
Foods you do not like: carrots and peas. Here is a video of you trying peas for the first time. You actually gag with a force that shakes your entire body. Really Gavin? Are they that bad?

You and Stella are buddies and you love playing fetch with her. Every time she comes back with the toy you get excited and start kicking your legs and laughing.

You love to talk all the time and are imitating some of the sounds we make. You say your /m/, /b/, /p/, /n/ and /d/ sounds and have said "dada" many times. You have never used it meaningfully but I think you are starting to get it :) You are also sticking out your tongue and making raspberries with your mouth constantly. You definitely love to hear your own voice!

You sat in a high chair at a restaurant for the first time and acted like such a big boy!  Actually, you were reaching for everything on the table except your toys. You had particular interest in the iphone and straws from our drinks.

Which brings me to the next new development. You do NOT like when we take things away from you.  You have started whining or bursting into tears if we take something away that you are not supposed to have or if you are not finished playing with it.
 I don't like it...

You are still having problems with your eyes every few weeks. The doctor says it is just clogged tear ducts but that it usually clears up by 6 months....so far not the case! If they do not fix on their own we will have to take you to an optomologist next month :( poor baby!

I can't think of anything else! You are such a happy, easy going baby!!
We love you SO much!
