Ashley's Rustic Country Wedding Reception (Part 2)

Here are some pics of the details from my friend Ashley's wedding reception at 1899 Farmhouse in Princeton, Texas.
I made 20 centerpieces that had 4 different looks. They all  incorporated the same a+m wood carving, antlers/mason jars, daisies and babies breath. Wood burning takes a loooong time.  I was not aware of that when I planned these...oh well :)

The reception venue was so pretty. If the weather is nice you can open the tin dividers and it feels like you are outside.

The menu: written on an old window pane.

My sister wrote this quote on an old window pane. It looked perfect over the delicious cobblers.

Gavin had his first experience with Capri Sun's and he couldn't get enough! It was so funny watching him stand on his toes trying to reach the drinks.

They exited with sparklers AND had fireworks! How cool is that?
I just love this little cowboy!

Check out part one if you missed it :)

Congrats Ash & Harris!
Thanks for letting me help plan your special day!

Ashley's Rustic Country Wedding Ceremony! (part 1)

Ashley's wedding venue is called 1899 Farmhouse and is located in Princeton, Texas. It was such a fun venue with so many different options for ceremony locations and expression of personal style.  I loved the ceremony on the front porch...such a charming country feel.

It rained alllllll day as we were decorating for the wedding. In fact, we didn't make the final call to have the wedding outdoors until literally minutes before it started. I didn't get to decorate quite like I had planned but we were so elated that we were even able to have the wedding outdoors! We made it through the entire ceremony with no rain-couldn't believe it! Definitely a God thing ;)

I made her a brooch bouquet out of antique brooches I collected from antique shops. I am kind of obsessed with it and wish I could keep it! :) j/k

Our little ring bearers were not thrilled! Seconds before their debut, both ring bearers and both flower girls shared a sympathy meltdown.  However, everyone fully recovered except Gavin...but he still managed to finish eating his goldfish through his tears. haha!
I didn't get many pics of the boys, but here are some cute ones from the rehersal dinner.

Reception pics coming soon!

Spring Beak Recap

Why can't spring break be every week?!?
It was such a wonderful, much needed break from work! Here is a recap from our fun filled week!

We started off by celebrating my BFF from high school getting married at a beautiful venue in Princeton Tx...way more on that later ;)

We took a nice long break after the wedding festivities and spent a day or two relaxing at home. Then we went to Kirsten's new house to play and take some 7 month pictures of sweet baby Nixon.

We braved the zoo on Wednesday...along with everyone else in DFW. Apparently it was half price day and the lines were half a mile long...I wish I was kidding. Ryan's parents met us at  the zoo on their way into town.

Gavin couldn't really appreciate the zoo through the ridiculous crowds, but I did manage to get a lot of good pics with my new camera!  Still learning how to use it but it takes awesome photos!

After the zoo we went to eat at our fav restaurant, Cracker Barrel :) It's getting to be our tradition. Every time we go, I buy the greatest Woodwick candle ever-Biscotti because I worry that someday it will discontinue and I won't be able to get it. I have quite a stash going :)

Thursday we went to the Ross Perot Museum. They had a great children's museum on the lowest level that Gavin had a blast in.

This week was a little taste of summer... I think know I am ready! :)
